9th All India Children Art Contest 2020

The Shanker Art Foundation and ARTinfoINDIA.COM have since 2012 successfully organised eight annual editions of Children Art Contest and Exhibition. The contests were titled TITLEE- The Butterfly 2012, TITLEE- The Butterfly 2013, PEACOCK- The National Bird 2014, Lotus- The National Flower 2015, Tiger – The National Animal 2016, Colours of National Symbols 2017, Colours of National Symbols 2018 and My Favourite Festival 2019. We have received an overwhelming response from Schools, Art Schools, Hobby Centres and Parents for these successive editions.
Every year, the Children Art Contest is organised in 7 groups (Classes Preliminary to Senior Secondary). Till date 2000+ pupils have received Gold Award, Silver Award, Bronze Award, Commended Award and Appreciation Awards. Besides, Merit Certificates have been awarded to 3000+ participants and Certificates of Participation are issued to all the participants. A month-long exhibition of award-winning paintings is held at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi every year.
This year we are glad to announce ‘My Favourite Indian Monument 2020’ as the theme for the 9th All India Children Art Contest. This is to depict our Faith, Belief, Love and Concern for Indian Monuments through Paintings, Drawings and Collages.

My Favourite Indian Monument 2020

It is necessary to include at least one Indian Monument i.e. Taj, Gateway of India, Lal Qila, Ancient Worship Place etc. apart from that, children have the liberty to paint any things using Indian Monument.

Apart from this, keeping in mind the current time we are undergoing, you can also submit artwork on the theme COVID-19 The corona virus epidemic has touched the lives of every human.

Covid-19 A Challenge

The best and worst forms of human emotion – about empathy, kindness, worry, anger, despair and social distance. Stories of those who are fighting bravely
People around the world are expressing these feelings through, poetry, prose and paintings.
Paintings, Drawings and Collages can be submitted. You may submit Poster with Title and Slogan in this category.

Group A – Preparatory Classes (Nur, LKG, UKG)
Group B – Grade / Class I & II
Group C – Grade / Class III & IV
Group D – Grade / Class V & VI
Group E – Grade / Class VII & VIII
Group F – Grade / Class IX & X
Group G – Grade / Class XI & XII

Requirements of the Competition

The size of the artwork should be 8.5 x 11 inches (A4), 11 x 14 Inches (1/4 of Cartridge Sheet Imperial Size) or paper of any Standard Sketchbook.

  • Draw artwork on the specified size paper. Framed artwork by any means is not acceptable.
  • Don’t outline the figures and objects in your artworks in order to make them appear more distinct.
  • Don’t paste Artwork on board and mounted or framed Artworks are not acceptable
  • Create your Drawing, Painting and Collage artworks on the theme My Favourite Indian Monument or Covid-19 A Challenge.

Medium Drawing, Painting and Collage

Children can use Pencil, Colour Pencil, Ink, Pastels Colours, Poster Colours, Water Colours, Acrylic Colours and Paper Cuttings to create Artworks.
Entries must be on good quality paper. (Do not Paste 3D material on artwork) ​

Before the students pick the Pencil / Brush, please Educate them and create awareness among them about the faith, belief, love and concern for Indian Monuments.
